About Animal Advocates
Animal Advocates is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to ending animal suffering in our area. In addition to helping Shelter pets, our efforts include taking high-risk animals with medical needs or those considered less adoptable into the safety of our rescue program. But that’s not enough to truly end homelessness. Prevention is the key. That’s why we also have a nationally recognized Spay/Neuter program to help needy residents, and a Humane Education program to teach kids about compassion and responsibility. Each year, we serve thousands of people and pets; our goal is to end the needless killing of adoptable animals in our metropolitan region.
